The CESTAM network of leaders of advanced manufacturing and technology companies was founded in the Midlands in 2009 with the mission of helping their companies grow intelligently, promoting growth in manufacturing across the UK and putting manufacturing at the centre of Britain's economic growth map. CESTAM is based in Longbridge, Birmingham, at the centre of Britain’s industrial heartland.

CESTAM's 2012 programme of events, held quarterly, focuses on key business improvement areas for manufacturers;

  • Innovation – how the use of technology can transform business performance
  • Tactics – practical sales, marketing and business initiatives to improve business
  • Sustainability - how low-carbon initiatives can save money and face for energy-intensive businesses

and opportunities to boost:

  • Motivation – by sharing insights, best practice, issues and opportunities with others in the room
  • New business opportunities - by networking with other advanced manufacturers to create referral sources and new relationships with business leaders

February's keynote speaker is Robin Tucker, former Senior Executive at Vodafone and Executive Director of Natural England, now part of a leading team of climate-change experts.
